How can I make my house smell like a garden of flowers?

I want to know a cheap way to keep my house smelling good (like a garden) with out buying all those exspensive plug in air freshners and candles?

How can I make my house smell like a garden of flowers?
I think your question pretty much answers it for you: flowering plants absorb smells and, particularly when they are flowering, release fragrant and relaxing smells.

Plants will also brighten the appearance of your house, add fresh oxygen (through photosynthesis) and even lift your mood!

Plants aren't that expensive, especially at this time of year (fall) when most garden centres are trying to get rid of their stock. The first website below gives great advice on fragrant plants and the second has advice on how to care for them. It's not difficult just a few minutes every few days to water and turn your plants.

Good luck!
Reply:CLEAN WITH FABULOUS IT HAS A FRESH LAVENDER SMELL THAT LASTS FOR HOURS
Reply:I open my windows for at least 20 - 30 minutes each day. I find that keeping them closed all of the time makes the air smell "stale". Toxins also build up in your house, so you need the fresh air to keep it smelling frsh and clean! : )

As far as smelling like FLOWERS.. : )

Nothing can beat this:

Bath and Body Works [White Barn Candle Co.]

Room Sprays : )

They are very potent [you only need 1 -2 sprays],

smell great [they have about 20 different scents], and inexpensive! : )

Here is the link!

You can smell all 20+ scents in person, if you go to the store at the mall! : )

: ) Good luck! : )
Reply:make your own potporie. that's what i do and it works well. Take dried rose leaves, a cinommon stick and some scented oil (some perfumes are like this) pour a little of the oil on the leaves and cinommon sticks, shake it all up and put it in a dark corner for about a day, then you can display it nicely on a table or something, and it smells pretty good.

You could also use incense (it's like ten cents a stick at long's) the only problem with that one is that it can irritate your skin.

Good luck!
Reply:I love the smell of gardenias (i dont think i smelled that right)

But we usually put some of them in our house, in different rooms
