Are there any plants or flowers in the garden that are poisonous to rabbits?

I live in the U.K and my rabbit lives in a hutch in my utility room but I let him out in the garden a few times a week. I was wondering if there is anything poisonous in the garden that I should be aware of (and please don't be too accurate with names as I'm not green fingered at all!) Thanks guys :-)

Are there any plants or flowers in the garden that are poisonous to rabbits?

go to your local pet store and see if they have any ideas or books on rabbit food

Good Luck
Reply:i have a rabbit i just put him on the grass where i no he is save but if this helps i would get a cheap book on how to care for you rabbit and it says what r poisonous to rabbit or just check the net put what is poisonous to rabbits and look at some pics and and see if they are in your gardenx
Reply:Honey, it's hard to fathom all the plants that could be in your garden. What you need to do is go look around your garden and identify each plant. Look those plants up online and see if they're poisonous to rabbits.
Reply:hope this helps

Reply:yes carnivorous, its a weed that climbs up fences or wraps itself round things it has white flowers on it, my rabbit ate some last year and because rabbits cannot be sick, she poisoned herself and she died, i was absolutely gutted and cried my eyes out, so be warned
Reply:Yes, there might well be poisonous plants in your garden. If you let the rabbit stretch his legs on the lawn, the main one to watch out for is ragwort. It isn't so very common if you live in town, but if you're more out in the country you could have some. It's highly poisonous to all animals so be careful of that.

If you let him hop about in your flower beds, there are some that could be harmful.

So you really just need to keep an eye on him and not let him nibble anything other than grass (or maybe the odd dandelion leaf).
